JJ's Hot Pepper projects 2015

JJ asked me to make dried hot pepper mixes. A challenge and task I accepted very seriously.
I ended up with 3 hot pepper varieties and 1 hot pepper all alone! Most of the peppers were from Joe the farmer from Patagonia. All of his produce is grown without pesticides.
This is the first batch! We started with stringing them up to dry but decided on using a dehydrator.

The first batch was quite the experiment.
Learning the hard way that wearing gloves is mandatory to handling hot peppers in any way! Scrubbing my burning hands with a mixture of sugar and olive oil for one minute takes the burn away. It's like magic!
So the 2nd batch I did wear gloves!
I kept the Hot Lemon peppers separate. They are a milder hot pepper.
Today's batch was hot!!!

JJ will be the tasting judge!
